Abstract:Liver injury has a high incidence in pet clinical cases, which can be caused by many factors. In recent years, with the development of cell therapy research, mesenchymal stem cell (MSCs) transplantation has gradually become a hot spot and main directions in the treatment of liver injury. At present, drug-induced animal models are the main research methods in the treatment of liver injury. It is very important to select a suitable and effective method to induce MSCs differentiate into hepatocytes. Some studies have shown that the treatment of MSCs with melatonin (Mel) can improve their viability in vitro and enhance the effect of transplantation therapy. It is also used in the treatment of diseases. In this review, adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) combined with melatonin transplantation for the treatment of liver injury are systematically described, which will provide a theoretical basis and guidance for further study.
