Abstract Based on the author's research and practice work in the dairy cattle embryo transplantation for more than 20 years, the development of diary cattle embryo transplantation and embryo engineering techniques in China were overall summarized. Both the achievements and the problems in this field were discussed and the important research in the “11th five-year” program was presented.
