Research Progress of AP2/ERF Transcription Factor in Rice (Oryza sativa) |
|
|
Abstract The APETALA2/ethylene responsive factor (AP2/ERF) family transcription factor is plant-specific. It has been reported that the AP2/ERF family members involve in plant stress response and govern plant growth and development. In this article, we reviewed the classification, structure characteristics, and the distribution in rice of the AP2/ERF family, summarized the biological functions of the AP2/ERF in rice and gave a perspective on the application of the AP2/ERF transcription factor in rice breeding.
